History and traditions

A valley which has been famous for many centuries only for the manufacturing of iron and the production of nails. In Forno di Zoldo there is in fact, the chance to visit the Museum of the nail. Towards the end of 1800 great floods destroyed many strengths of this valley, and so the inhabitants began to emigrate. Emigration, mostly in Europe: Austria, Spain, Belgium and especially in Germany where with the production of homemade ice cream the Zoldo’s people became world famous.


An unspoiled natural paradise. Pecol is an ideal starting point for all the kind of hikers: hiking routes vary from simple walks like the onee to the source of the MaƩ, to the most difficult climbings to reach the peaks of Civetta and Pelmo. From Nordic Walking to canyoing, the opportunities to spend some exciting days immersed in nature are endless.


Located in the Ski Civetta District, 80 km of tracks that are part of the Dolomites Superski. For lovers of night skiing 2 lit up tracks and a snow park to have fun in total safety also with the snowboard. There are several tracks recommended to fans of Nordic skiing: Pralongo, Palafavera and Campo (artificial night lighting).
